New Hampshire McCain Update -
November 9, 2007
On
Wednesday, John McCain received the endorsement
of Senator Sam Brownback of Kansas. Click
here to watch the video.
Senator Brownback endorsed
John McCain because he is the only choice to
lead our country in the global fight against
Islamic extremism. He has the
experience, the knowledge, and the courage for
this fight. He recognized years ago
that our strategy in Iraq was failing and had
the guts to call for change. John McCain also
represents the values that are the core of our
Republican party, including a consistent 24 year
pro-life record of protecting the rights of the
unborn.
Senator Brownback endorsed
John McCain because he is the only conservative
choice to lead our country and win in the
general election. Sen. Brownback said, "While I
respect all of the Republicans running for
president this year, John McCain is the only
candidate who can rally the Reagan coalition of
conservatives, Independents, and conservative
Democrats needed to defeat Hillary Clinton or
any other Democrat in the general election next
year."
John McCain is deeply honored
to receive the support of his good friend,
Senator Sam Brownback. Sen. Brownback is a man
of faith, compassion, and integrity and has an
unwavering commitment to protecting the dignity
of human life, both born and unborn.
Senator Brownback will serve
as a General Co-Chair of the campaign and
Chairman of the McCain Judicial Advisory
Committee. His counsel and friendship will be
invaluable. As this important endorsement helps
build our campaign's momentum, please
consider making a contribution in support of
John McCain.

Campaign Surge
The
momentum of our campaign continues as several
polls continue to show that John McCain is
surging in national primary election polling.
Although we normally don't place a lot of
emphasis on these polls, it is impossible to
ignore the documentation of trends that we are
seeing in other areas of the campaign as well -
and that the simple fact is that John McCain is
back and surging ahead of the competition.
Campaign Manager Rick Davis
briefed the campaign this week about the polls
over the last two weeks.

We are less than one
year until Election Day 2008, and
it is critical to get this information out to
all of our team. Not all of this
information gets picked up by the mainstream
press, and we need your help to make sure that
the good news is getting out to our supporters
everywhere.

National First Responders Coalition Leadership
Announced

Former
Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland
Security and former Governor of Pennsylvania,
Tom Ridge, joined John McCain today in New
Hampshire to unveil the National First
Responders Coalition leadership [watch
video]. Gov. Ridge will serve as National
Chairman of the Coalition and is joined by
distinguished National Co-Chairs including Los
Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca; John S.
Dempsey, Captain, New York City Police
Department (Ret.); former Oklahoma Governor
Frank Keating; Robert "Bud" McFarlane, former
National Security Advisor for President Ronald
Reagan; and Edward D. Mullins, President of the
Sergeants Benevolent Association of New York
City.
"I am proud to have the support of this
distinguished group of leaders from the first
responder community," said John McCain. "I am
grateful for their support, but more
importantly, our country thanks them for their
service. We are engaged in a new war, where the
battlefield can be a village in Afghanistan, an
English subway station, or the American
heartland. And as the tragic loss of so many
brave police, fire and rescue personnel on 9/11
made plain, America's first responders are on
the front lines of this war, and must have the
equipment, training and staffing to meet this
challenge."

Growing the Bioeconomy Conference
John McCain was in Iowa Falls
and Ames, Iowa on Monday to hold a town hall
meeting and address the Conference on Bioeconomy
at Iowa State University. He spoke about the
importance of Iowa to our economy and about how
he believes Iowa's economy is well situated to
take advantage of increases in the global trade
of goods and services.

"My friends, we can
compete with anyone. You
wouldn't know that by
listening to the
protectionists. They
think we're licked. They
think we should hide
behind walls, and hope
we have enough left to
live on while the world
passes us by. That's not
leadership, and that's
not American."

McCain, Conference on
Bioeconomy, 11/5/07

The Way Forward For N.H. Republicans

the protection of American values. As important,
we must nominate someone with courage and

their government at home and our moral authority
abroad ... Among all the candidates, only John
McCain has the experience, record and vision to
allow him to do all this."
AZ Republic: McCain Rises To Second In
